Bake 40 to 45 minutes on a 9 x 13 baking pan. Icing- bring butter, milk, and sugar to a boil. Cook on medium for five minutes. Add vanilla, pecans, and coconut. Punch holes in cake. Add hot icing to cake. __________________________________________________ M ISS MARY’S WOODFORD PUDDING Mary Grey Jenkins ___________________________________________________ 1 cup sugar 3 eggs 1/2 cup Crisco 1/2 c buttermilk 1-1/2 c all purpose flour 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp soda 1 c pear preserves “Sauce for pudding”-------------------------------------------------------------- 1 stick butter 1 small can Pet milk 1 c sugar 1 tsp vanilla DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350°. Grease cast-iron skillet. Mix sugar, eggs, Crisco, & buttermilk. Mix flour, soda, nutmeg, & add preserves. Combind both mixtures thoroughly. Bake in skillet for 1 hour. Sauce for pudding : Stir over low heat until thick.
