FINAL PGS

Dedication This cookbook is dedicated to our founding members, whose vision

for CCHGA in 1994 was to instill a sense of pride in the history and heritage of Cheatham County, and to work toward the establishment of a County Museum. Founding CCHGA members were Thelma Heflin, Jim Allen, Mary Grey Jenkins and Betty Cannon. Founding members of the PALS (Pond Creek and Lillamay/Sam’s Creek) Chapter of CCHGA were Jim Allen, June Crouch Nixon, Earl Nixon, Judy Vick Mayo, Maria Garland, Bo Jordan, Brenda Whitaker, and Gerald Curtis. It is with deepest appreciation that we honor these individuals for their foresight and diligent efforts to enhance the county by creating the Cheatham County Historical and Genealogical Association. Acknowledgments Grateful appreciation is given to those who contributed their time, efforts, talents and means in helping to prepare this cookbook. The cookbook committee is grateful for the interest of the many who shared their time-tested and family- favorite recipes. Our friends who purchased ads and gave donations made it possible to move forward with this project, and we are so grateful for their support. The generous contribution of time and talents by those who provided their artistic, photography, and technology skills helped to make this cookbook a work of art! We thank those of you who bought this cookbook. Your purchase helps support our goal of providing Cheatham County with a museum for all to enjoy. And without the long hours and tireless efforts of the Cookbook Committee, this project would not have happened. We wish to thank them and their families for their perseverance, their support, and their belief in the value of this project.
