__________________________________________________ S LUSHY PUNCH In memory of Francis Hooper ___________________________________________________ 2 12 oz cans frozen orange juice 2 12 oz cans frozen lemonade 2 large cans unsweetened pineapple juice 5 c sugar 18 c water 4 1 Ltr bottles ginger ale DIRECTIONS: Mix all ingredients except ginger ale. Pour liquid into a gallon milk jug & freeze. Thaw for 24 hours before serving. Add ginger ale to the slushy mixture. Makes approximately 100 servings of punch. __________________________________________________ S OUTH OF THE BORDER Pamela Jones ___________________________________________________ 1 lb ground beef 1 pack taco seasoning 1 can corn 1 can Rotel 1 can tomato soup 1 c cooked rice 1 lb Velveeta cheese DIRECTIONS: Brown ground beef with taco seasoning. Add all ingredients & serve warm. __________________________________________________ S PICE TEA Glynda Johnson ___________________________________________________ 1 small can instant tea 2 c Tang drink mix 1 package lemonade mix 2 1/2 c sugar 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp ground cloves DIRECTIONS: Mix all ingredients together & put in a quart or half-gallon jar or plastic container with a top. Use 2 level tsp in a coffee cup of hot water. Great anytime it is cold, especially for a sore throat. __________________________________________________ S PINACH & ARTICHOKE DIP Debbie Harlinger ___________________________________________________ 2 pks frozen chopped spinach (drained) 1 can artichoke hearts (drained and chopped) 1 stick butter 1 onion (chopped) 1 8 oz cream cheese 8 oz sour cream 3/4 c Parmesan cheese 3/4 c Monterey Jack or pepper Jack cheese 3 tbsp hot sauce (your choice) salt & pepper to taste DIRECTIONS: Preheat the oven to 450°. Melt butter in saucepan, sauté onions 3-4 min. Add spinach and artichoke, stirring to mix. Add cream cheese & sour cream, then cheeses & hot sauce. Stir until all is blended. Transfer to 8 x 8 baking dish. Bake 20-25 min (covered), then 10-15 min (uncovered) until bubbly and browned on top.
