Cinnamon 3 cans flaky layer biscuits 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon DIRECTIONS: Bake 350° 30 to 40 mins. Cut biscuits into quarters. Mix with 2/3 cup sugar & cinnamon until all biscuits are coated. Melt butter, whisk sugar & cinnamon until mixed well. Coat Bundt pan with oil. Pour in biscuits & pour butter over biscuits. ___________________________________________________ O NION MUFFINS/BREAD Doris Bryant ___________________________________________________ ¼ c. butter 1 large onion 1 box jiffy cornbread mix 1 c cheddar cheese shredded 1 egg 1/3 c milk 1 c sour cream ¼ tps salt ¼ tsp dill weed DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 450°. Spray with Pam, 12 muffin tins or 8 in. square pan. Melt ¼ c. butter in a skillet & sauté large onion, chopped, tender (not brown) 3 mins. Remove from heat & add jiffy cornbread. Mix egg, milk, sour cream, ½ c. cheddar cheese, salt, & dill weed. Pour into muffin tin/8 in. square pan. Top with ½ c. cheddar cheese & bake 30 mins. until set. “toothpick test” Cool before cutting if using a pan ___________________________________________________ P ISTACHIO BREAD Dolly Corbett ___________________________________________________ 4 eggs, well beaten 1- 3.4 oz pkg of instant pistachio pudding 1 pkg Duncan Hines butter cake mix 1 c. sour cream ¼ c. water ¼ c. oil 3 T sugar & 3 T. cinnamon mixed together and set aside DIRECTIONS: Mix eggs, pudding, cake mix, sour cream, water, & oil together. Pour half of batter into 2 large loaf pans. Sprinkle half of the sugar & cinnamon over the batter. Fill pans with the remainder of the batter & sprinkle top with the remaining sugar mixture Bake 350° for 35-45 mins. ___________________________________________________ P UMPKIN BREAD BY ALENE Lisa Mitchell- in memory of Alene Dozier ___________________________________________________ 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. allspice 1 ½ tsp. baking soda ½ tsp. baking powder 2/3 c. water 2/3 c. vegetable oil 4 eggs 2 c. pumpkin 2 c. raisins 1 c. chopped walnuts DIRECTIONS: Mix flour, salt, cinnamon, allspice, baking soda, & baking powder. Add eggs, water, oil, & pumpkin. Mix well. Add raisins, nuts, & mix. Preheat oven to 350° Pour in loaf pan lightly coated in oil & bake for one hour.
