Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes ___________________________________________________ B ISCOTTI Patty Ashcroft ___________________________________________________ 1 cup sugar 1 stick butter 2-3/4 cup flour 3 large eggs 1-1/2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 2 tsp pure almond extract 2 T Grand Marnier 1 tsp vanilla 3 large eggs Dipping chocolate, if desired DIRECTIONS: Stir together sugar, Grand Marnier, extracts, & eggs in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking powder & add salt until just combined. Chill dough for 30 minutes. Form dough into two equal loaves rolling into log shape. Place on baking sheet & bake until golden. About 30 mins. Cool on rack for 30 minutes. Cut into 3/4 slices diagonally. Place on side and bake for 20 to 25 mins. Cool. Dip each piece in chocolate on one end if desired, approximately 3/4”. Store in air tight container. ________ ___________________________________________ B LACK JACK PECAN PIE Patty Ashcroft ___________________________________________________ 1 c light Karo syrup 1-1/2 cup chopped pecans 1 unbaked pie crust 3 eggs 1 c sugar 2 T salted butter 1 tsp vanilla 3/4 c semi sweet chocolate chip 1/4 cup Jack Daniels whiskey DIRECTIONS: Pre heat oven to 350º. Stir in first five ingredients in medium bowl & mix well. Add semi sweet chocolate chips & Jack Daniels whiskey. And pecans & pour into pie shell. Bake in center of oven for 60 to 70 mins or test doneness by putting thermometer in center of pie and reaching 200° ___________________________________________________ M ARY JO’S BROWN SUGAR SHORTBREAD Margaret Bradley ___________________________________________________ 1 c unsalted butter softened 1 c firmly packed light brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla 2-1/4 c sifted all purpose flour DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 325°. Butter 9 inch round baking pan. Cream butter, brown sugar, & vanilla together until fluffy. Add the flour in batches. Combine after each addition. You may have to mix with your hands. Scrape the dough into a prepared pan. Prick the surface all over with a fork. Lightly score into wedges. Bake for 30 minutes until top is puffy and lightly browned.
