Explainers
1. Glue Down Requires the use of an adhesive to adhere your luxury vinyl flooring to the sub-floor. 2. Click Fit A floating solution requiring no adhesive. Simply snap planks into place using the click-fit system integrated into the flooring product. 3. TrueGrain Our signature finish. This is the embossing layer on the top of our premium flooring options. The embossing follows the grain pattern of the wood effect print layer producing a hyper-realistic look and feel, like that of real wood. 4. SoftGrain An embossed layer on the top of some of our flooring ranges. The embossing is a pattern of small indentations to give a natural look and feel. 5. Wear Layer The wear layer is like the bodyguard of your floor. A thicker wear layer provides a more resilient and luxurious product. For homes, a 0.3mm wear layer is ideal for dealing with day to day life. You’ll see most of our ranges come with a 0.55mm wear layer, which is what we recommend for busy commercial spaces. 6. Bevelled Edge A bevelled edge is when the boards or planks have a slight chamfer to the edge. Once installed it gives the appearance of grooves between the boards.

Key
All of our real wood inspired vinyl ranges can be categorised in three grades; Prime, Character, and Rustic. We do this to help you choose your perfect floor.

Character

Rustic
Prime Our Prime grade has few, if any knots in the design, and these will be of minimal size. There will also be a minimal amount of more natural wood effects, such as sapwood, in the design. There will be a relatively small amount of colour variation in the pieces within each pack.
Character Our Character grade will include more natural wood effects, such as heartwood, sapwood, and knots, and allows a wider range of colour variation. The wood effects can generally be larger.
Rustic Our Rustic grade will contain a limitless amount of natural wood effects such as knots, sapwood and even checks. Rustic may also contain a wider colour variation between pieces per pack.

Features you may find in our wood inspired designs
Knots and markings All of our wood-effect vinyl ranges are inspired by real wood. This allows our designs to be some of the most authentic and visually realistic around. We include markings such as knots, checks and sapwood to enhance its appearance. The amount of markings vary depending on the grading.
Colour variation You will find colour variation between boards in our wood-effect vinyl ranges. This is because our products are designed to replicate the natural variations found in real wood floors.

Elegant and timeless Versailles
Traditionally, Versailles flooring is parquet flooring with an intricate interwoven pattern of boards that are cut into rectangles, triangles and squares. The pattern has an elegant geometry that provides great visual appeal and which creates a striking style statement in any home. This style of parquet flooring first started trending in the early 17th Century. However, it wasn’t until the latter part of the century that this particular design of parquet flooring piqued the interest of the wider world when King Louis XIV ordered the replacement of the high maintenance
marble floors of the Château de Versailles with intricate parquetry; thus the Versailles parquet floor was born. This set a new trend of intricate parquet flooring which then swept across the rest of France, Europe, and then the world. Due to it’s history and aesthetics, the Versailles design is now a timeless classic befitting not only of palaces, but of beautiful homes.
