Pace of play

When on the tee: • Figure out “money games” on the range not the first tee. • If the player who has the honor is not ready to hit another player should tee off. • Please keep conversations on the tee to a minimum.

When looking for a ball: •

USGA Rules of Golf search limit is 3 minutes.

• One person helps look while the other two hit their shots. • Once they have hit their shots and arrive to help look, the third person should hit their shot to ensure that all players have already hit once the ball is found. When the hole is complete: • Read and line up the putt while the other players are hitting. • Continuous putt if you are not disturbing another player’s line especially if it is a tap in. • When the hole is complete: • Write all scores down on the next tee. • Do not “linger” by the green delaying the group behind you from hitting their approach. 5-Somes • 5-Somes may be allowed at the discretion of the Director of Golf. Approval needed . • 5-Somes will not be approved prior to 1:00 pm unless the number of members in the group is greater than the number of guests. • All groups, but especially 5-somes, are required to play in no more than 4 hours unless being held up by the group in front of them. If not, they will be expected to skip holes to keep up pace.

As you can tell by the amount of content in this section, we are committed to maintaining a consistent pace of play for all members to enjoy. With the increase in membership and daily rounds it is imperative that all groups play in 4 hours. It only takes one minute on every hole to be 18 minutes off pace.
