DAWN LAMBETH

DAVE STUCKEY & THE HOT HOUSE GANG

JAZZ, SWING

HOT JAZZ, SWING

Multi-talented DAVE STUCKEY is a band leader, producer, singer, songwriter, drummer and swingin' guitarist extraordinaire. Stuckey hates talking about himself in the third person. Nevertheless, the fact remains that he has been playing music in and around Los Angeles going on 30 years now. Along the way he’s been around the world, sharing the stage with rockabilly legends & traditional/swing jazz hotshots and, while performing, writing, recording & producing, has generally managed to create a wide-ranging ruckus. Rhythm is his business - and business is swell. DAVE STUCKEY & THE HOT HOUSE GANG is a hard-swinging, take-no-prisoners aggregation, playing the standards and not-so- standards from the 1920's & 30s whose main objective is to bring the heat, get you outta your seat, and provoke you to move your feet. Bringing with him a Murderer’s Row of torrid trad jazz operators from the wilds of Los Angeles, Stuckey’s outfit channels an Eddie Condon small-group drive with jiving vocals that might conjure thoughts of Wingy Manone or Fats Waller. Calling all cats - that stuff is here and it's anything but mellow!

Take a walk "On the Sunnyside of the Street" with jazz vocalist DAWN LAMBETH as she delights you with her effervescent renditions of songs from the Swing Era, evoking the bathtub gin of Boardwalk Empire as well as the top hats and tails of the Great Gatsby. You'll think you've traveled back in time to an old fashioned supper club as you journey from hot swing tunes of the 1920's to romantic ballads of the Big Band Era. The songs she loves to sing might be familiar – The Man I Love or Blue Room – or a song that makes you chuckle with its sly romance, Moonburn – but old songs seem new when she sings them and new ones become old friends. Dawn has appeared on four compact discs, winning praise from reviewers on both coasts, and she has performed at a dozen renowned jazz festivals in the United States and in Japan with musicians who are delighted to have her onstage. Her CD Let's Get Lost received airplay on over 100 radio stations and syndicated shows in the US, Canada, Australia, Europe and Japan, broke into the CMJ Jazz Charts top 40 and was picked up for reissue in Japan and Thailand and for licensing in China. Residing in Paso Robles, California, she frequently delights Central Coast audiences with her Usonia Jazz Band, performing regularly for private events and at highly regarded hotels, wineries and music venues. www.dawnlambeth.com SPONSORED BY JOHN & MARY STUART FRIDAY 2:30 pm EAGLE HOUSE w/Dave Stuckey & the Hoot Owls 4:00 pm VETS MEMORIAL with Marc Caparone's Back O' Town Allstars & Charlie Halloran SATURDAY 1:00 pm MORRIS GRAVES MUSEUM Dawn Lambeth Quintet with Dan Barrett & Dave Bennett 2:30 pm EAGLE HOUSE w/Dave Stuckey & the Hoot Owls 5:30 pm SEQUOIA CENTER Duke Swings with Marc Caparone's Back O'Town Allstars SUNDAY 12:00 pm VETERANS MEMORIAL w/Dave Stuckey & the Hoot Owls 1:30 pm MORRIS GRAVES MUSEUM Groovus with Dawn Lambeth
