François Carrière, qui est originaire d’Alfred, est parmi ces personnes à qui on a voulu rendre hommage d’une façon tout à fait exceptionnelle. Désormais, le navire François Carrière sillonnera les étendues marines pour la Garde côtière canadienne. La Garde est chargée de l’opération du bateau alors que la GRC est responsable des activités liées à l’application de la loi.
