Clinical Program Overview
Corporate Benefits
1. What is SCAP? The Specialty Copay Assistance Program (SCAP) is designed to help manage the high costs associated with specialty medications. These medications often require special handling or administration and can be very expensive. SCAP aims to offset these costs by leveraging copay assistance programs offered by drug manufacturers 2. How does SCAP work? SCAP works by coordinating with your Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) and Valued Pharmacy Services to provide support in accessing copay assistance programs by offering live member support and data monitoring from the VPS Client Success team. 3. Who would benefit from SCAP? SCAP is a recommended program for all potential clients, due to the high cost of specialty medications. It is expected that clients of all sizes would experience plan savings and improved member support. Clients in existing PBM or Carrier copay assistance programs could also see savings due to VPS's lower than market shared savings fee. 4. What is needed to move forward with SCAP? Contact your VPS Analytics team to request a detailed Savings report and receive implementation materials.
