Care and compassion helping transform lives In our AnglicareSA community, stories of resilience and achievement often emerge from challenging circumstances. One such story involves a remarkable Supported Housing Program client who bravely transformed her life and home with dedication and openness.
Facing difficulties stemming from her childhood trauma, which manifested as an overwhelming collection of clothes, shoes, and random items filling her home, the client’s home became a source of stress, affecting her tenancy and putting her on the brink of eviction and homelessness. Her case worker provided support and understanding without judgment, and the two embarked on a journey to recover the client’s space and wellbeing.
The transformation of her living environment has been nothing short of inspiring, becoming a sanctuary of peace and a new beginning. Our case worker said: “I am so proud to have played a role in helping our client turn her life around and look forward to witnessing her continued progress. I have told her how proud I am of her and that she is doing incredibly. I know it’s a small achievement, but this is so huge for her.”
