AnglicareSA Annual Report 2024 - 2025

Thank you to our aged care employees On Aged Care Employee Day on 7 August, we said Thanks for Caring to our dedicated aged care workforce, who make a difference every day by providing essential care, comfort, and companionship to older Australians.

Their commitment and dedication to providing extraordinary care in what can be at times a challenging occupation are worthy of recognition. One of those employees is Customer Wellness Assistant Darcy Kemp, who is part of the lifestyle team at our Grange Residential Aged Care home. She helps to design and create engaging and fun leisure activities for our residents, which in the past have included gardening groups, armchair travel sessions, and the all-important Bingo Wednesdays. It is a role she thinks is very important for residents’ health and wellbeing. “Moving into a residential aged care home can be hard initially for residents, who are now living with other people they don’t know,” she said. “I like to make them feel at home and find ways to get them involved in activities that make them happy and where they can connect with other residents.”

This includes providing people with the opportunities to develop themselves and their careers, and to contribute to our purpose of ‘Together we change lives’.

2 Better conversations, stronger teams. Learning how to truly listen and have honest conversations that build trust, understanding, and stronger team connections 3 Leading with emotional intelligence. Build leadership confidence by understanding emotions, creating a positive team vibe, and leading with care 4 Promoting the employee benefits and wellbeing initiatives that AnglicareSA offers. Our Meaningful Moments initiative proved to be a great success across the first six months of 2025 – more than 600 people took the time to recognise their colleagues or team members for the work they do.

Each year, we survey our employees so they can let us know how we are tracking – what we are doing well, and the areas we need to improve. We share the survey results across AnglicareSA and work on action plans to address any areas for improvement. The key actions we are taking to address the feedback include: 1 Promoting Meaningful Moments. A way to recognise and celebrate each other, our achievements, our contributions – the moments that mattered to us
