AT THE MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART "Aktivitet: 100 Years of Surrealism"
THE MAJOR EXHIBITION ENTITLED AKTIVITET: 100 YEARS OF SURREALISM , which will mark the centenary of surreal- ism in Serbia and around the world, has opened at Belgrade’s Museum of Contemporary Art and will run un- til 25 th February 2025. This exhibi- tion forms part of a broader project of the same name that includes, in addition to the MoCAB, the partici- pation of Belgrade’s Museum of Ap- plied Arts and Institute for Literature and Arts. The exhibition’s concept author and lead curator is Dr San- ja Bahun of the UK’s University of Essex. The exhibition’s other co-cu- rators, from the MoCAB, are Alek- sandra Mirčić, Una Popović and Žak- lina Ratković. The exhibition presents surreal- ist works from these lands and simul- taneous activities and relationships with other directions of global surre- alism, as well as its importance to the contemporary art of the region. This exhibition also aims to provide the

The presentation of this col- lection will be enriched even fur- ther through collaboration and exchanges with the Museum of Applied Arts, which possesses the largest portion of the region’s sur- realist photographic legacy and will host a simultaneous exhibition un- der the same overarching concept.
