“Affected my life for the better!” “I started Elite Physical Therapy after a traumatic accident where I was dragged by a car. It caused damage to multiple parts of my body on top of chronic illness issues I already suffered with. I was very skeptical about going to Physical Therapy at first and was wondering if it would help at all. I was being told with surgery there would be risky odds and that would be my only option. I was afraid to do surgery that might lead tomore issues, but I really did not knowwhat to do and I suggested trying Physical Therapy as a last resort. My doctors didn’t have much hope for it but sent me because it couldn’t hurt. At the time I could not even stand unassisted, and was falling constantly. I went tomy first appointment at Elite not really sure what to expect but hoping it would give me more choices besides surgery. The minute I walked in I was welcomed by everyone at the front desk staff tomy awesome Physical Therapist. During my 2 1/2 years at Elite I have experienced many set backs medically, which has been frustrating beyond belief. Numerous doctors continued to tell me to just give up and at times I wanted to. Yet my Physical Therapist always saw potential tomake improvements inmy physical ability even when I doubted it and never gave up onme. He’s been my biggest cheerleader with his unwavering support. The improvements I made and continue to make physically have helped to give me more pieces of my life back, enjoy the things I previously did, as well as to be more functional in my day to day living. I still have bad days and on these days my Elite Physical Therapist has the ability to encourage me and finds a way to make my appointments productive, meaningful and help me restore my own confidence in myself when it waivers. It’s hard to express in words howmuch the support, expertise, and the care has affected my life for the better.
