INSIDE THIS ISSUE
FAIRYTALE Plus puzzles, activities & much more!
My mother was a first-grade teacher here in Robertson County. It’s no wonder that I grew up hearing many stories that she often called Fairy Tales. Fairy Tales were just little short stories, which had lots of drama focused upon a hero or heroine. As I think back to the stories of Jack & the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood, and Hansel & Gretel, I think of the lessons they learned through their adventurous dramas. All of these stories were meant to teach special lessons that could be transferred to other situations. Some of these names may not be as familiar with all of the stories we have to read today. However, looking up to others such as our family members, mentors, special friends - we can learn so much from listening to them and the experiences they have had and shared. Dont’ forget to listen to stories that others tell us. Ask questions about their adventures. Wonder about what you can learn from those experiences. Grow by listening!

Spring is just around the corner which means warmer weather and outdoor activities. Keep yourselves busy being active and
healthy and staying drug-free. Drugs and alcohol can impair your mental and physical capabilities. Don’t let your favorite springtime activities
get diminished by the negative effects of drugs and alcohol.
