Early on, I worked in CPA firms doing tax and audit, but realized I preferred being totally involved in company transactions; knowing every- thing about how a company operated. What unique qualities or personality traits do you feel makes you most suc- cessful in your profession? I admit it (and my partners will agree) - I’m a bit of a control nut, I’m results ori- ented and have way too much energy. What challenges and/or obstacles do you feel you needed to overcome to be- come as successful as you are today? Sometimes the hardest thing to do is----believe in your own abilities. What was the most defin- ing moment for you in the profession you are cur- rently in? When our company’s ex- ecutive management group became a real team, we felt the transformation and ac- knowledged a commitment to each other. What outside activities do you enjoy during you free time? Horses, horses and oh yea …… horses. What inspiring word of advice would you give to a young woman about to go into the field of commercial real estate or your allied field? Be yourself, recognize your strengths, know your weak- nesses – always contribute more than you take. What’s your greatest pro- fessional accomplishment? Satisfaction that through our combined talents and efforts, this company will continue to provide engineer- ing, survey and land planning services beyond its current 77 years. McCrone humbly traces its roots back to 1937 when a small surveying company was started. It has weathered so much history -from wars to recessions. Its present and fu- ture are now on our shoulders; all of us here at McCrone are proud to be part of its enduring legacy. n
