A Beautiful Culture

Breana Borchers, and from everyone around her. “On my team,” she says, “there has never been the notion of working only with the people who financially benefit you. We have such a beautiful team culture. We’ve all been simply working together and helping each other from the very start. “The other day, a new business builder in my team told me she was really struggling with using social media. Based on the information on her page, she reminded me of National Director Shawna Lambert. Shawna and I are part of the same organization, but she has no financial ties to me. Regardless, Shawna generously offered to help this person improve her social media presence. That’s the kind of culture we have. We’re always ready to help anyone we can to grow their business and have success. Our energy comes from the relationships we’re building. Everyone is part of the family.” Fast Track requires a serious commitment of time and energy, but Laura is thrilled with the impact it’s having on her team. “I love the challenges we’ve been doing on approaches,” she says. “Lots of new Marketing Executives are scared to try approaches, but the rewards give them more incentives to step outside of their comfort zones. The hardest part is that first step. But they’ve got their team members right there holding their hands. After that, they’re so much better equipped to do it on their own." Such a generous team culture has been the catalyst for success everywhere in Laura’s organization. At home, it’s the same. Even in the middle of a big move, Laura is surrounded by the people she loves the most—and life just couldn’t be better. JC

Laura Muhl is knee-deep in a big move. She and her fiancé, along with their blended family of five young daughters, have been building a new home together about 30 miles from where Laura currently lives. Between packing up, keeping up with girls and their busy schedules, and participating in the company-wide Fast Track, she has plenty on her plate. “Five daughters makes for a crazy home life,” Laura laughs. “Lots of high-pitched shrieking! But we’re a very happy family, and we get along great. Building my Melaleuca business has given me flexibility to make blending our family work.” Not surprisingly, her daughters are her biggest cheerleaders. They may be young, but they’re behind Laura all the way. “I try to include them in my work as much as I can,” Laura says. “They have been involved since the start, helping me package thank-you cards and other customer appreciation gifts. They understand that when I’m working, I really am working. But they love the time I’m able to spend with them.” Laura feels the same spirit of encouragement and service from her support team, including her enroller, Executive Director 6
