THE BEGINNING OF A GREATER JOURNEY Qualifying for and attending Road to Executive Director is a huge achievement to be celebrated, but those who attend can attest that this exclusive event is more than just celebrating hard work—it’s really the beginning of a greater journey. And there’s no better way to kick off that journey than by touring Melaleuca’s massive distribution center and Global Headquarters in Idaho Falls, forming lifelong friendships with fellow Marketing Executives on their own journeys, and receiving unparalleled tools and training to reach your goals.

Road to Executive Director is always a unique character-building experience, and the event in February 2022 was no exception. The eager crowd of Senior Directors was treated to product trainings and inspiring and invaluable presentations from the Melaleuca Management Team and seasoned Marketing Executives. Leading with the products, focusing on the Mission Statement, and maintaining a long-term perspective were some common themes heard throughout the event. SUBSTANCE, NOT HYPE CEO Frank VanderSloot reminded the Senior Directors of the importance of Melaleuca’s Mission Statement and the company’s world-class products. “Our Mission Statement isn’t about money,” he emphasized. “It’s about enhancing lives.” And he further proved his point with a stunning statistic: only 18% of those who love Melaleuca products ever enroll another customer. “That’s why you lead with the products. The products are the reason, not the business opportunity.” Corporate Director 8 Rafael Rojas hit home with the same message as he talked about his past experiences in the MLM industry. When Presidential Director Jeff Miller finally convinced Rafael to enroll with Melaleuca, Rafael’s natural charisma and energy quickly brought him success, but he and his team were focused on the business opportunity, not Melaleuca’s amazing products. Rafael didn’t know it at the time, but his foundation was shaky and bound to fall apart.
