Ladies Tea O kay ladies, you will now be able to have some time to yourselves at the Street Rod Nationals South. With the event moving to the Appalachian Fairgrounds, there is an air-conditioned building just per- fect for the Ladies Tea. Make plans on joining Kay Staggs and other ladies, Friday from 1:30pm to 3pm. We cannot tell you all that will go on (men are not invited), but we do know the theme will be 1950s and ‘60s. Kay is also going to have a hat contest. The two categories will be car-related and fancy-style.

Ready for some live music before the “Awards Program” at the Street Rod Nationals South? Come on out early to the awards area, check out the “Circle of Winners” and listen to the “Gunslinger” band. Gunslinger is a local high-energy four-piece band playing Top 40 Country and Classic Rock music. The band will take you through the whole spectrum of musi- cal emotions. They will be playing Saturday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm on the stage where the Awards Program and Circle of Winners are held. Shop Tour For those going to the Street Rod Nationals South on Thursday, why not come in a little earlier than mid-afternoon? For the first time at the Nationals South there will be a group “Shop Tour.” The plan is to visit at least four locations. The tour will leave the Host Hotel at 10am on Thursday morning and will be back in time for all to pick up their regis- tration packets before registration closes at 6pm. We would like to thank Charlie Hamilton, the East Tennessee State Rep, for all his help with the Shop Tour.
