Garage Tour O n Wednesday, the Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals kicks off with a Garage Tour hosted by the Outlaws Car Club of Pueblo Colorado. The tour features some of the local shops and home garages with some unique Man Caves. The club works with “Melburgers” as a starting point. They meet there early for coffee and cinnamon rolls before the tour starts. Around 8am there will be a drivers’ meeting, and then at 8:30am sharp the tour begins. The tour takes in five or six shops with a lunch along the way or at the end of the tour. For the most updated information, contact host Ted at 719-320-9210. Take the tour and find out why the group keeps getting larger each year. Event Registration If you have never been to the Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals, you need to know that registration opens on Thursday at 12 noon in the Pueblo Convention Center. It is located right behind the Courtyard by Marriott with lots of free parking in the parking garage across the street. Registration will stay open until 6pm on both Thursday and Friday. On both Friday and Saturday registration will open again at 9am and close at noon on Saturday. To speed things up you should locate your confirmation letter and membership card if you are pre-entered. The parking garage across the street will also have the Northwest Safety Division doing Safety Inspections. It never hurts to have another set of eyes looking over your vehicle for a potential problem and it’s all free! Kick-Off Party & BBQ Dinner
The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a BBQ Dinner and Kick-Off Party at the Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals on Thursday night. It will be set up in the 4H Building at the fairgrounds where there will be lots of parking and shade and they will start serving around 5pm. The great thing about the 4H Building, lots of seating and it’s a huge building! The Kick-Off Party is very well attended because it offers great food, drinks, plus lots of time to visit with friends.
