T he right mild custom is a special thing, still obvi- ously the old car it started as, but so much cooler! One of my co-workers thought this one would make a good feature and while I was waiting to talk to Jack Herbert about his ’49 Chevrolet Styleline a specta- tor/rodder commented he loved the seats and in response, Jack said the car was built for long distance cruising and he should take a seat for himself. Jack is out of Midlothian, Virginia, and has loved customs since he was a kid, wanting a nice traditional custom that evoked the moonshiners of the past.
