The crossmembers and frame shape have been extensively engineered (using FEA computer simulations) to provide optimal stiffening, particularly at the body mounts which makes for great chassis dynamics. Jack had a 376ci LS power- plant slipped between the rails running a Holley Sniper EFI on an oversized single-plane intake, a fac- tory style air cleaner, gargantuan cast iron headers, and hidden coil packs with a faux distributor deliver- ing the spark. A Tremec 6-speed manual then delivers the power out to 18/20-inch Detroit Steel wheels wearing modern Diamondback white walls. just right and ready to cruise across the Mississippi. Jack and Page Customs found a great starting point, even once it was blown apart, but to build a great driver that dragged rocker, they agreed to switching out the chassis for a fresh GT Sport Classic perimeter frame from Art Morrison. The Sport GT front suspension runs tubular control arms, Wilwood Pro Spindles, adjustable Strange Engineering coilovers, an adjustable anti-roll bar, and Baer brakes. The rear suspension is a Ford 9-inch on a tri-angulat- ed four-bar, Strange coilovers, an antiroll bar, and Baer brakes actuated by a Wilwood master cylinder.
