DENNIS DAHLINGER New Jersey Dennis Dallinger out of Cedar Grove, New Jersey, has been cruising his ’29 Ford sedan for 47 years. Dennis is continually inspired by his friends in the Meadowland Street Rods. His sweet little Tudor runs a balanced and blueprinted Chevy 350 with a Turbo 350, a fully boxed stock frame with beefed-up crossmembers, a Corvair IFS with disc brakes, ’57 Ford 9-inch and 14/15-inch American Racing steel wheels. Dennis added a ‘29 Dodge trunk and did the bodywork before laying down the sweet ’81 Cadillac Superior Blue over Delite Blue. The interior features under- dash A/C, a Vega shifter, Opel bucket seats, and a two-tone Cavalier Blue stitch job by Bellview Interiors after Dennis wired everything together. We love your ride because it still has all of the coolest stuff from over 50 years of rodding.
MIKE CALHOON Pennsylvania Mike, Ginny, and Hank ‘the dog’ Calhoun from York Haven, Pennsylvania, are great supporters of NSRA, including getting married by Chaplain Jim Rowlett at an NSRA event! They are always having a great time doing Safety Inspections and we normally see Mike, Ginny, and Hank in their survivor ’65 Dodge Dart GT, but as you can see, they added this super cool ’70 Dodge Powerwagon ‘Brush Hog’ firetruck and a groovy young German pup named Shelby. The Powerwagon is a
factory custom four-door, rolls a custom step-side bed, sits on the factory chassis with Dana differentials, spins big Generals on steel wheels (285/70/17) and goes with Dodge 383 power backed up by a four-speed feeding four- wheel drive. All the bodywork is stock as the car came from Turtle Lake, Wisconsin, with an added toolbox and black and green factory-style interior. We love the truck and we’ll see you this rodding season.
DON SEARLS Arkansas Advisor Don Searls out of Conway, Arkansas, volunteers as an Advisor to the Arkansas State Safety Inspector and he is forever the third wheel behind the scenes helping out Roger and Carol Barnhill setting up Safety Inspections, keeping all the records straight, and getting it all put away properly. After only a year of ownership Don’s ’85 Chevy C10 features a 6.0-liter LS with a BTR stage-3 cam, a heavy duty 4L80E trans, and 18-inch American Torq Thrusts wearing General rubber (255/45/18). Steve’s Auto straightened out the body and laid down the bright red with metallic and pearl paint, a Craftec bed cover hides the bedliner and Bed Rug bed mat. Don finished the interior in red and garnet over OBS low-back bucket seats and center console. Coming soon will be 2 1/2- inch dropped front spindles and we can’t wait to see her sitting properly slammed.
