Spotlight on Local Success: U-Fill Water Centre Congratulations to Mike Christiaens, owner of U-Fill Water Centre in Tillsonburg — recipient of the Access to Capital Program Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Community Futures Oxford! Since opening his first U-Fill Water Centre in Tillsonburg in 2007, Mike has built his business on quality, efficiency, and community connection. What began as a traditional water centre offering refills, ice, and water treatment equipment has expanded to include locations across Oxford County and beyond. With support from Community Futures Oxford, Mike expanded his Tillsonburg-based business by opening additional U-Fill locations in Ingersoll, Paris, and Simcoe. While Tillsonburg remains a full-service centre, newer sites feature 24/7 self-serve refill stations that make accessing clean water quick and convenient. Mike’s success shows how dedication, innovation and community partnerships can fuel growth and make a lasting local impact.
