5.2 Staff Experience Surveys – Clinical & Non-Clinical staff & General Practice Staff Survey 2023 i) Clinical Staff Survey
The clinical staff survey was sent out to 209 members of staff who all have clinical roles within our services. This included the PCN ARRS (Primary Care Network Additional Reimbursable Recruitment Scheme) staff, whose focus of work is very much practice based. We received 48 replies which represented a 23% response rate, we therefore recognise that the results did not represent everyone’s views. We would have wished to have had received a greater response but acknowledge that the staff are busy individuals with many of them working in our Enhanced Access, GP at the Front Door services and / or have other busy practice-based roles.
We asked for responses in 4 main areas: • About them – where they work, their job role and to what extent they feel involved in the quality and safety of the service • About the organisation – How well they feel we communicate to them and how well they feel that they can communicate their views to their manager • About the consideration of their health, safety, and wellbeing • About the organisational considerations of diversity, equality, and inclusion for our employees We also asked them to comment on any other aspects of their role and work life with NNPC. Highlights of the Results 83% agreed or strongly agreed that the NNPC clinical service they work in is a good place to work, with the remainder 13% feeling neutral and 4% in disagreement with this. 83% of them look forward to coming to work with 15% of feeling neutral about this, and 2% in disagreement with looking forward to coming to work. 92% felt valued by their Line Manager, NNPC as an organisation, and / or Practice colleagues and 77% of those felt those colleagues external to the organisation valued and respected them. This reflected a high level of satisfaction that the frequency and quality of feedback and information given by their Line Manager. 87% felt that it is clear what their work responsibilities are, and 71% felt that they get recognised for good work performance with opportunities to show initiative in your work, although almost one third disagreed with this.
