Working in the teams demonstrated highly positive experience responses with almost 90% of them enjoying working with their colleagues. It was pleasing to learn that 96% of them agreed or strongly agreed that the clinical services in which they work make a difference to patients, the remaining 4% of them remained neutral on this point. Further to this, 87% of them believed that high quality patient care is of NNPC’s top priority and that 90% of them would be happy that their family or friends were treated in one of our services. The remainder 10% of those were neutral on this point of view, with no-one being in disagreement of this point. 94% of the clinical staff would recommend NNPC as a good organisation to work for. 73% of the staff felt that NNPC cares about the staff who work within the clinical services we deliver, further to this 75% of them felt that they would feel safe to speak up any concerns which they may have and that NNPC would be responsive to the feedback given in the staff survey. The remaining 24% were of neutral opinion and 1% in disagreement with this. The aspects of the staff’s health and wellbeing is of high importance to us, and 92% of the staff agreed with this. 80% of them felt that NNPC supports a physically and emotionally safe environment to work in. However, workload frustration, feeling emotionally exhausted, and burn out features in one third of their daily work lives. 81% of the staff have the opinion that they are treated fairly, and that NNPC acts positively to support its workforce regardless of background, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or age. The remainder of those were neutral on those points. 77% of them felt accepted and respected by NNPC as an organisation, with 96% of them being of the opinion that NNPC is an inclusive organisation. NNPC is proud to be an employee who is fair and does not discriminate anyone who would like to work with us. We feel happy with this, and will aim to identify how we can further improve the staff’s recognition and application of this ethos. Whilst there are excellent positives in this survey, we will continue to address the not so positive aspects by giving staff the opportunity to discuss any concerns with their manager or the speak up guardians.
