T h e f o u r schools of the Bible In­ stitute of Los Angeles, Inc., opened the fall semester with a large enrollment of nearly 960 young peo­ ple. Coming from almost every state in the union and eight different for­ eign countries, the studdents represent more than 20 different denominations. The Biola School of Missionary Medi­ cine, due to the need for students to live in close proximity to the hospi­ tals in which they train, is still hold­ ing classes in the downtown building at Sixth and Hope Streets.

Mr. Phil Butler, graduate of Bob Jones University, is the newest mem­ ber of the KBBI radio staff. Mr. But­ ler not only handles a number of the station’s radio programs but also is Sales Manager. Coming from San Diego, California, Mr. Butler’s sincere testimony for Christ and dedicated radio abilities is much appreciated in the ministry. Another faithful member of the radio staff is Mr. John Robertson, chief engineer. Mr. Robertson was trained in the missionary technical department of Moody Bible Institute. His faithful service behind the scenes has meant the maintenance of equip­ ment since the station started May 2, 1959. Five Biola graduates and stu­ dents are also employed by the sta­ tion. Hew Film Started Plans are being formulated by the Biola Film Department, headed by Mr. Virgil Wemmer, to produce the popular radio series from the Bible Institute Hour, “ The Crisis in Moral­ ity.” The feature will deal with the various aspects of the sweeping de­ gradation across the nation. The documentary is planned for produc­ tion around the first of the year. Facilities for the Film Department will be moved about the same time to La Habra, California, a few miles from the La Mirada Campus.
