VISITOR & PATIENT INFORMATION

VISITING HOURS Visitors as well as support from family and friends are key pieces in the road to recovery. To provide as much possible convenience, Scheurer Health has no set visitor hours and are your guests welcome at any time. After 8:00pm, we ask that all visitors enter through the Main Entrance. You may withdraw or deny consent to calls and visitors at any time. Scheurer Health does not restrict, limit or otherwise deny visitation privileges on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender or disability. WIRELESS INTERNET WiFi has almost become a life necessity. At each location, complimentary access is provided. Your phone number is required to send an authorization code and confirm that you are not a bot. Network name: ScheurerGuest [NO PASSWORD] SMOKE-FREE CAMPUS Smoking and/or use of any tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes and vaping pens, is not permitted on any Scheurer property and location. For safety purposes, patients are not allowed to leave Scheurer property to smoke. DINING ROOM & REFRESHMENTS Visitors are welcome in the Dining Room with many food and drink options available. Fountain pop, water, coffee and tea are all complimentary 24 hours a day to all visitors and customers. The Dining Room provides meals at the listed times, with additional “grab-and-go” items available. Breakfast: 7:30am - 10:00am Lunch: 11:30am - 1:30pm Dinner: 5:00pm - 7:00pm Vending machines offering beverages and snacks are located near the Main Lobby. RESTROOMS Public restrooms are available throughout the hospital. Refer to page 56 for restroom locations. To protect our patients’ health and safety, in-room bathrooms are reserved for patient use only. TELEPHONES Telephones are provided in all patient rooms. To place an outside call, dial “9” followed by the

PASTORAL CARE Scheurer has volunteer clergy available to all patients and their families. If you indicated that you want clergy contacted upon admission, our staff will do that for you. ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES Personal electrical appliances are allowed to be brought in for patients, but must be inspected prior to use by Biomedical Engineering. Please notify our staff if you bring in any devices during your stay. INTERPRETER SERVICES If you require a translator, please notify our staff. Interpreter services are available at no charge. FIRE SAFETY We conduct fire drills periodically to ensure optimal safety systems. Announcements are made prior to the drill for confirmation. If a patient and you hear an alarm, stay where you are. In event of an actual emergency, staff will notify you. Scheurer Health was constructed with many fire-resistant features and our employees are well-trained in safety procedures. VALUABLES If at all possible, please leave valuables at home or send them home with someone you trust when you are admitted as a patient. If that is not possible, ask our staff about depositing your valuables and money in our secure safe. These items can be retrieved upon discharge. Scheurer Health cannot be responsible for replacement of personal belongings or for items not in the hospital safe.

Deliveries are brought directly to your room. Any mail received after you are discharged will be forwarded to your home address.
