BANDERA
Vico Equense, from a floristic point of view, has unique peculiarities in Cam- pania, such as the centuries-old beech trees and various endemisms, such as the Pinguicola Hirtiflora. This walk will lead us to the knowledge of the environmental monuments of Faito: the beech trees. SECULAR BEECH TREES Through the ancient route, along which our ancestors carried the "snow" from Mount Faito to the port of Vico Equen- se. Between stories, tales and tradi- tions related to the snow trade, which for centuries has played an important role in the Vican economy; from the Feudatories of Vico passing through the years of the Viceroy, up to Count Girolamo Giusso; from production to harvest; from transport to sale. Come along this ancient road: 11 km of wonders, starting from the neviere of the castle, crossing piazzale dei capi, the palorci, capo d'acqua, the Sperlon- ga, the chapel of the Madonna della Neve, up to the port of Vico. On the way we will stop at the Mario’s Oasis, with the possibility of tasting. THE SNOW TRAIL
An unusual and evocative route that proceeds along the side of the moun- tain, with views overlooking Vico Equense, the Sorrento Peninsula and Capri. Challenging but wonderful, due to the views and the characteristic of the path along rocky faults covered by luxuriant Mediterranean scrub and fragrant plants. The path is of medium-high difficulty and requires minimal training and equipment to proceed on stony surfa- ces, prohibitive for those suffering from vertigo. Easy and short-term route suitable for everyone, starting near the Monte Faito sports centre. We will visit the remains of Count Girolamo Giusso's chalet, and then take the path that will lead us to the guardian's house, crossing the ancient fields that were once cultivated by the farmers of Moiano. Once in "Chiaiare" we will be able to enjoy a wonderful view and wait for the sunset together in joy while enjoying a sandwich. SUNSET IN CHIAIARE
