believe it in their hearts and thus obtain life through His name. Therefore, the best method of review of the lessons of the quarter would be to go over the lessons one by one and find out how this great truth that brings life is illustrated in each lesson. In LESSON I, this central truth of the gospel is brought out in many ways. We see the pre-existence of Jesus Christ as the Eternal Word, “In the beginning with God,” and then plainly declared to be “God.” We see Him also as the Creator of all things, and the One in Whom was Life, and He was the Light of men. In Jesus of Nazareth this Eternal Word became flesh and the apostles beheld His glory, glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father.

This is a review lessoil and John 14:1-14 is given as the passage to read. If any teachers do not wish to teach a review lesson, we would suggest that they just take John 14:1-14 as the lesson. It is one of the most remarkable passages in the whole Gospel of John and does not occur in the lessons of the year. Notes upon it will be' found in the Daily Devotional Studies in T he K ing ’ s B usiness for July, 1916. In these notes we shall take up the review, as presumably that is the lesson most teachers will use: The purpose of John’s Gospel is given in John 20:31. As there given we see that the purpose of the Gospel was to prove that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and to prove it in such a way that men might
