The instructor shall: Explain the reasons for quarantining accessories and equipment Show examples of accessories which meet rejection criteria parameters and therefore must be put into quarantine Provide feedback to participants on their ability to identify accessories requiring quarantine
The participants shall: Practise the ability to identify accessories requiring quarantine Receive feedback constructively
ELEMENT 3.9 - CRANE FUNCTIONS
Learning objectives: 38) The participants can explain what influences the safe movements of the crane (Knowledge, intermediate level) 39) The participants can, as a slinger signaller, take responsibility for safe working within the capabilities of the crane (Ability, intermediate level)
The instructor shall: Explain the hazards and risks involved in interacting with a crane Demonstrate the slewing, boom up and down, raising and lowering hook, extend and retract boom of a crane using an operational crane Provide feedback to participants on the learning activities
The participants shall: Practise the ability to interact responsibly and safely with an operating crane Receive feedback constructively
