CWGO: Career Women’s Golf Organization
The CWGO has had some great events, as we prepare to wrap up the 2024 season!
We recently held our annual Breast Cancer Care Bag Charity Tournament to raise funds for care bags for women undergoing treatment for breast cancer at local military hospitals. It was a great day for a great cause and festive pink garb was on full display! We also have completed the season’s match play tournament. Congratulations to the winners, but, more importantly, thank you to all at every level who put yourselves out there and participated! The winners are as follows: Championship Bracket: 1st Emily McGee, 2nd Margaret Ann Connors 1st Flight: 1st Amy Dewitt, 2nd Jen Lednicky 2nd Flight: 1st Emily Graves, 2nd Beth Baynes 3rd Flight: 1st Kathleen Love, 2nd Annette Wagner Aspiring Champion: Legare Augenstein Our weekday play ends at the end of September, though our Saturday play days will continue through October. Future events include our MJ Major tournament on Saturday, 19 October at Fairfax. This will be an individual flighted Stableford tournament and members of all abilities are welcome!
