Basic Technical Training Standard / V9 2024-06-24

The instructor shall:

Explain the function of pumps

Explain the operation of a pump by an electrical motor

Explain the operation of a pump manually

Show examples of and explain the symbols for pumps

Explain the position of pumps in a circuit

Ask the participants relevant questions about the function of pumps and provide examples of how pumps can be operated

Create a short learning activity where the participants have to identify pumps on a diagram

The participants shall:

Describe in their own words and share understandings about the function of pumps and provide examples of how pumps can be operated

Identify pumps on a diagram

ELEMENT 4.2 - PUMPS EXERCISE

Learning objective:

42) The participants can perform checks of the start and stop pressure of a pump following the instructions (Skills, intermediate level)

The instructor shall:

Explain and demonstrate the process to check the start and stop pressure on a pump

Facilitate practice to improve the participants’ ability to check the start and stop pressure on a pump following the instructions from the instructor

Give constructive feedback on the participants’ practice in how to check the start and stop pressure on a pump following the instructions from the instructor
