Based on the scenario documents, facilitate activities where participants are required to take appropriate actions to mitigate damaged or malfunctioning pump, hose and tool components as to ensure that they do not pose a safety or quality risk to the specified bolt torquing task, including:
a.
Stop work
b.
Quarantine and reporting
c.
Repairs including documentation
Continuously assess participant engagement and learning by actively asking participants to share their understandings and reflect on their actions and considerations Provide participants with instruction, guidance and feedback as required to ensure that learning objectives are met
The participants shall:
Complete the scenario-based activities to specification
Share understandings and considerations with instructors and other participants
Take responsibility for their learning by seeking guidance and clarification when in doubt

Learning objectives:
44) Participants can recognise the safety hazards commonly present when conducting bolt torquing tasks using electric and hydraulic tools (Knowledge, basic level) 45) Participants can take initiative to mitigate the safety hazards associated with a specified bolt torquing task (Ability, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Lead a discussion and ask engaging question about the safety hazards commonly present when conducting bolt torquing using electric and hydraulic tools, including:
a.
PPE
b. Reaction arms (pinching, crushing, hand position, placement of reaction arm)
