The participants shall:

Engage in a group discussion on the risks and hazards associated with lifting operations (wind speed limits, loads falling due to failures in lifting equipment, etc.)

Engage in discussions about the consequences of procedural errors in lifting operations and damage to the equipment

Learning objectives:

53) The participants can recognise the roles and responsibilities when lifting (Knowledge, basic level)

54) The participants can recognise the importance of communication when lifting (Knowledge, basic level)

55) The participants can describe their own role in lifting operations (Knowledge, basic level)

The instructor shall:

Explain the different roles and responsibilities during lifting operations (refer to lift plan)

Explain the importance of communication (who, how, etc.)

Describe the different roles for various types of lifting operations (provide examples)

Facilitate a discussion about the participants’ own roles in lifting operations

The participants shall:

Engage in discussions about their own role in lifting operations
