Explain the importance of selecting the correct lifting equipment, (also including Working Load Limit)
Explain the importance of inspection of the lifting equipment (including Working Load Limit, markings must be readable)

Explain the importance of reporting and tagging (“do not use”) damaged lifting equipment
Show examples of and explain typical procedural errors in lifting operations and damage to the equipment
Explain how to control movement of loads when lifting by means of tag lines
Facilitate a discussion about the consequences of procedural errors in lifting operations and damage to the equipment
Give constructive feedback on the participants’ group discussion on the risks and hazards associated with lifting operations
The participants shall:
Engage in a group discussion on the risks and hazards associated with lifting operations (wind speed limits, loads falling due to failures in lifting equipment, etc.)
Engage in discussions about the consequences of procedural errors in lifting operations and damage to the equipment
