Explain in their own words and share understandings about safe working procedures, identifying the necessary PPE and appropriate tools when working with mechanics

In a practical exercise with different hand tools and other relevant objects, individually point out 3 points (according to manufacturer’s specification):

anchor point or attachment point

During practical training scenarios and activities ensure that hand tools and other relevant objects are tethered before working at height

Receive the instructors’ feedback and adjust the tethering accordingly

ELEMENT 3.3 - SAFETY SIGNS

Learning objectives:

28) The participants can describe different safety signs and their meanings (Knowledge, basic level)

29) The participants can recognise the importance of adhering to safety signs (Knowledge, basic level)

The instructor shall:

Explain how to identify different signs for mechanical danger (e.g. rotating parts, pinch point, helmet mandatory)

Show examples of safety signs on different locations in the WTG (e.g. rotating parts, pinch point, helmet mandatory)

Show the consequences of not adhering to safety signs in the WTG through e.g. stories, pictures or examples (injuries related to mechanics)

Facilitate discussions about different safety signs and their meanings

The participants shall:
