Technical training
Basic Technical Training Standard / V9 2024-06-24
Explain how to inspect if a bolt is loose (visual inspection or with tightening tools)
Ask the participants relevant questions on how to tighten and inspect bolted connections
Provide feedback to the participants and present further manual handling procedures and risk- mitigating actions
The participants shall:
Describe in their own words and share understandings about how to tighten and inspect bolted connections
In the practical training, apply their knowledge on short- and long-term injuries from repetitive manual handling and suggest actions relevant in the wind industry to mitigate short- and long-term injuries from repetitive manual handling
Take active part in a discussion on short- and long-term injuries from repetitive manual handling and possible mitigating actions
LESSON 5 - USE OF HANDHELD TOOLS
135 min.
The aim of this lesson is to enable the participants to use manual tightening and measuring tools.
After having successfully completed this lesson, the participants can:
43) Identify and select appropriate tooling from the hierarchy for the task independently, while following the relevant work instruction, and when in doubt, seek guidance (Ability, intermediate level)
44) Apply the appropriate tool for the task safely and in the correct way as it is intended (Skills, intermediate level)
ELEMENT 5.1 - METRIC SYSTEM
Learning objective:
45) The participants can recognise the basic units of the metric system (Knowledge, basic level)
The instructor shall:
