10. THE BTT ELECTRICAL MODULE
10.1 Aims and Objectives of the BTT Electrical Module The aim of this BTT Electrical Module is to give the participants the knowledge and skills to carry out basic electrical tasks (supervised by an experienced technician), using safe working procedures and the correct PPE.
After having successfully completed the BTT Electrical Module, participants will be able to:
1) Explain the basics of electricity (Knowledge, intermediate level)
2) Explain risks and hazards associated with electrical work (Knowledge, intermediate level)
3) Recognise the function and symbol of electrical components (Knowledge, basic level)
4) Explain the function of different types of sensors (Knowledge, intermediate level)
5) Explain and interpret a simple electrical diagram, and perform assembly of it on a circuit (Knowledge, intermediate level / Skills, intermediate level)
6) Perform correct and safe measurements (Skills, intermediate level)
10.2 Duration of the BTT Electrical Module
The total contact time for completing the BTT Electrical module is 9 hours and 55 minutes.
The training provider must not exceed the time per day given in the table 10.2.1 below.

Contact time includes delivery of course lesson content, practical exercises and activities directly related to these.
Note
The total training day includes contact time, meals and breaks and travel between training sites (where applicable).
