Learning objectives:

72) The participants can describe the importance of appropriate isolation/locking techniques (Knowledge, basic level)

73) The participants can describe the correct PPE for working with a gearbox (Knowledge, basic level)

The instructor shall:

Explain the main function of the gearbox

Explain the operation of the gearbox

Facilitate discussions with the participants about:

a.

the hazards associated with the gearbox

b. the importance of appropriate isolation/locking techniques (e.g. Lock Out Tag Out)

c.

the correct PPE

The participants shall:

Engage in discussions about the hazards associated with the gearbox
