Technical training
Basic Technical Training Standard / V9 2024-06-24
The instructor shall:
Explain what a pressure system is
Lead a discussion about the importance of checking and relieving system pressure, including accumulators before working on the system (e.g. test points, manometers and needle valves)
Show the importance of the emergency stop button in a wind turbine
Describe typical reactions of the hydraulic systems in a wind turbine when an emergency stop button is pressed
Lead a discussion about the danger due to actuators movement
The participants shall:
Engage in a discussion about the importance of checking and relieving system pressure including accumulators before working on the system (e.g. test points, manometers and needle valves)
Engage in a discussion about the danger due to in actuator’s movement
ELEMENT 3.3 - STORED ENERGY
Learning objective:
32) The participants can describe the risks and hazards of stored energy in hydraulic systems (Knowledge, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Explain where there is stored energy in a hydraulic system
Explain the risks associated with a charged accumulator
Explain the risks associated with trapped pressure in other components (i.e. actuators)
Ask the participants relevant questions about the risks and hazards of stored energy in hydraulic systems
The participants shall:
