Dubas Angus - Annual Production Sale [3/23/26]

Welcome It’s been an exciting year for our family. In August we welcomed Knox Louis Dubas into our hearts, getting that heifer to bull ratio back on track! Laramie and Porter are the best big sisters and helpers that we could ask for. Lare is in first grade, she’s starting to read and write very well. She loves playing volleyball and helping around the house. Ports is four and she makes and breaks all the rules. When she isn’t in Pre-School she’s on the hip helping out at the farm. She has a passion for animals that can’t be denied. We’ve recently been blessed with the opportunity to move our newly expanded “crew” to a bigger space much closer to Dads, fulfilling a dream come true of raising these kids on the farm! This summer we received an abundant amount of moisture, making the grazing season rich and fruitful. The cattle took advantage and turned in some of the best preg rates and weaning weights we’ve had. The winter (as I write this) has been mild and we’ve been able to graze and calve on cornstalks without feeding the cows. Theres a whole lot to be thankful for and as always,

we would like to extend a great “thank you” to everyone who’s supported our program over the years. We have a strong passion for breeding Angus cattle. Unfortunately, passion alone doesn’t pay the bills. It’s because of “YOU” our valued customer that we get to continue to carry on this lifestyle so thank you for your continued support. We are proud of this set of bulls and heifers. We think this group is as consistent as we’ve offered. We have a wide selection of high quality seedstock featuring Angus, Red Angus and Hereford. We understand there are multiple outlets and avenues available when choosing your next Herd Sire. The choice is never an easy one and we sincerely appreciate the chance to gain or retain your trust. We’d love to have you come walk through the bulls any time on or before sale day. Please don’t hesitate to call with any questions. Jarrid Dubas About us At Dubas Angus, we strive to produce functional Angus cattle, red and black that perform in any environment. We say this with confidence knowing that our cow herd must be able to provide for themselves with little inputs. We try to find the genetics that keep our customers happy and our cattle honest. We put a strong emphasis on phenotype, functionality and performance. Longevity is an extremely important factor when making breeding decisions. The life of a beef cow should be every bit of 10 years. She should wean off 60% of her body weight and breed every year in a timely manner. Her steer calves should hit the rails at a modest mature weight and grade high choice every time. That’s what Angus cattle were introduced to do and that’s how we intend to keep them. We try to take out some of the guessing when it comes to herd sire selection. Every year aim to attend the Midland Bull test in Columbus, MT. This trip is an opportunity to study well over 1000 head of bulls. There are three different bull studs within close proximity to each other. We get to analyze heavily used herd sires and their progeny all within a few days. This trip has resulted in 90% of our breeding decisions over the last decade. It’s important to us to know what these bulls really look like, what they move like, what their disposition is like. We can then focus on utilizing the EPDs to make a based breeding calculation. We believe this is the best way to get predictable results and we like to think predictability encourages profitability.
