Create a simple scenario, where the participants experience reactions to an unusual situation/ extreme event and try for themselves (with just sufficient supervision or instruction) to mitigate the abnormal reactions and how they should behave towards a casualty
Alternative activity: facilitate group discussions with the participants about:
a. reactions to an unusual situation/ extreme event, and how to mitigate abnormal reactions
b.
casualty’s experience of first aider’s behaviour
Give constructive feedback to the participants performance
The participants shall:
Engage in the scenario or group discussions about:

b.
casualty’s experience of first aider’s behaviour
Receive and reflect on the feedback from the instructor
PAIN MANAGEMENT AND FURTHER POSSIBLE MEDICATION

The overall aim of this lesson is to enable participants to administer analgesics and medication safely and effectively via medical teleconsultation or according to national best practices.
Consideration should be taken by training providers to select the most appropriate analgesics and medications according to national best practices or select the analgesic and medication at the request of the company physician. Participants should be taught using training aids that are as realistic as possible to the analgesic or medication used in these situations

After having successfully completed this lesson, the participants can:
76) Solve the challenge of how to use the application algorithm for pain management of a casualty (Ability, basic level) 77) Act independently in administering safe and correct further possible medication via medical teleconsultation or according to national best practices (Ability, intermediate level)
