“Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.” - C.S. Lewis Quote of The Month:

(continued fromoutside)

Arthritis pain is caused by inflammation irritating the surrounding tissues and muscles. In severe cases, nerve endings are exposed on bone. Whether you experience arthritis in your knees, lower back, shoulder, or neck, if your joints don’t move like they used to, this causes further rubbing and increased pain. Natural Relief For Arthritis Pain When a joint becomes arthritic, it loses its normal motion and strength from surrounding muscles. By restoring normal joint movement and improving muscle strength, the amount of excessive pressure on the joint

can be relieved. Reducing the pressure on the affected joint decreases inflammation and helps relieve pain by improving mobility. Our clinicians at Innovative Physical Therapy Solutions have years of medical training to help people relieve the stiffness, achiness, and pain associated with arthritis. Our experts analyze your joint movement, muscle strength, and overall function. We then pinpoint the exact areas that are causing the pain and improve your pain-free mobility. Call us today to learn more about how physical therapy can help your arthritis and get you back to living life pain free!

provisions for safeguarding medical information, known as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accontability Act), IPTS does NOT share your personal health information. And our physical therapists do NOT recommend purchasing any brace over the phone! If and when you do require a brace of

any kind, IPTS recommends you obtain product & services from an American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, & Pedorthics (ABC) accredited facility like Howard Orthotics & Prosthetics LLC, conveniently located in Watertown & Canton, NY serving Jefferson, Lewis, Oswego, & St. Lawrence counties. How the Scam Works You pick up the phone, and it’s someone pretending to be a Medicare representative. From there, the con has two typical patterns. The scammer will either offer you a back brace through Medicare or claim that a caregiver previously called about receiving a back brace from Medicare. If you show interest in the brace, the scammer will start asking for personal information, such as your Social Security number or a Medicare number to access the benefits. Don’t fall for these phony claims, even if the calls are persistent! The callers offer no company name and may even hang up on you if you ask for further company information.

Scam Alert: Beware of the Medicare Back Brace Scam Protect yourself from healthcare scams! Never share your Medicare number, your credit card info or other personal details with unsolicited callers. Scammers are calling seniors in our area pretending to be a Medicare representative, stating that your physical therapist requested you purchase a back brace. To protect you, Innovative Physical Therapy Solutions (IPTS) safeguards your health information privacy. In accordance with United States legislation that provides data privacy and security
