OSELLE, NJ — As- semblyman Jame l Holley, Mayor Chris- tine Dansereau and other local leaders were on hand for the groundbreaking of The Park, a 932-unit market-rate, luxury apartment community, on the former site of the Roselle Golf Club. Assemblyman Holley and Mayor Dansereau together recognized the opportunity to repurpose the golf course, and helped guide the municipality through a thorough six-year planning process, which in- cluded significant input from the surrounding community and many professionals “The Park will transform an underutilized private golf course into an amazing new apartment community and a wonderful 20-acre park,” said Mayor Dansereau. “This will be a great place to live, and enable current residents looking for new, construction and luxury living to stay in Roselle, and will introduce Roselle to new residents who are looking to improve their quality of life, while still be- ing close to all the transit, shopping and entertainment options the area already has to offer.” “The Park replaces what had been destination for our community’s previous gen- erations with a point of pride for future generations,” said Assemblyman Holley. “This new use will bring economic and cultural vitality by creat- ing new jobs, generating new financial opportunities for the Borough, inviting in new neighbors and keeping exist- ing ones.” The first phase of construc- tion is comprised of 190 apart- ments as well as an unparal- leled set of amenities that includes a 20-acre park, a 9,000 s/f clubhouse with a pro- fessional state of the art gym, pet spa, movie theater, bil- liards room, resort-style pool and outdoor entertainment area, dog park, bocce court and a three-mile fitness trail. “The Park is a unique new apartment community which offers a much better quality of life for residents than any- thing else in the area. Up to two pets per unit are welcome, and dogs and their owners can enjoy the on-site dog spa, dog run and the nearby park with a three-mile walking trail. n
