Longtime Golf Course in Roselle, NJ to become 932-unit apartment community and 20-acre park

OSELLE, NJ — As- semblyman Jame l Holley, Mayor Chris- tine Dansereau and other local leaders were on hand for the groundbreaking of The Park, a 932-unit market-rate, luxury apartment community, on the former site of the Roselle Golf Club. Assemblyman Holley and Mayor Dansereau together recognized the opportunity to repurpose the golf course, and helped guide the municipality through a thorough six-year planning process, which in- cluded significant input from the surrounding community and many professionals “The Park will transform an underutilized private golf course into an amazing new apartment community and a wonderful 20-acre park,” said Mayor Dansereau. “This will be a great place to live, and enable current residents looking for new, construction and luxury living to stay in Roselle, and will introduce Roselle to new residents who are looking to improve their quality of life, while still be- ing close to all the transit, shopping and entertainment options the area already has to offer.” “The Park replaces what had been destination for our community’s previous gen- erations with a point of pride for future generations,” said Assemblyman Holley. “This new use will bring economic and cultural vitality by creat- ing new jobs, generating new financial opportunities for the Borough, inviting in new neighbors and keeping exist- ing ones.” The first phase of construc- tion is comprised of 190 apart- ments as well as an unparal- leled set of amenities that includes a 20-acre park, a 9,000 s/f clubhouse with a pro- fessional state of the art gym, pet spa, movie theater, bil- liards room, resort-style pool and outdoor entertainment area, dog park, bocce court and a three-mile fitness trail. “The Park is a unique new apartment community which offers a much better quality of life for residents than any- thing else in the area. Resi- dents with an active lifestyle will enjoy our 60-acre site, which includes a 20 acre park, three miles of fitness trails, re- sort style swimming pool with lap lanes, professional-grade R

State Parkway and the New Jersey Tpke..” The first of The Park’s five phases will include 190 one and two-bedroom luxury apartment homes that will feature hard wood laminate floors, granite countertops, in-unit washer/dryer, nine- foot ceilings, central AC and gas heat, gas stoves, and high speed internet. Up to two pets per unit are welcome, and dogs and their owners can enjoy the on-site dog spa, dog run and the nearby park with a three-mile walking trail. n

gym with all the latest equip- ment and a yoga studio,” said the developer, David Lloyds . “Pet lovers will appreciate our state of the art pet spa, large secure dog run, and of course the adjacent park. Commut- ers will discover that they have easy access to Newark and New York City via bus 112 that stops within a block of The Park, or take the train via the NJ Transit Northeast Corridor line in Linden or the Raritan Valley Line in Cran- ford which are located only one mile away. The Park is also just minutes from the Garden
