Rebecca started at the University of Oregon, majoring in general science and anthropology. During that time she was volunteering with the Children’s Miracle Network and had the opportunity to interact with patients and their families at the local hospital. She was impressed by the role of the nursing staff and appreciated the compassionate care they provided. Rebecca made the decision to pursue nursing. Born and raised in Wyoming, she moved with her mom to Portland during her senior year in high school. This expe- rience, along with our transition to a virtual leaning environment, has increased her adaptability and creativity—required character- istics of nursing! Rebecca has a German Shepherd named “Quinn” Rebecca has consistently demonstrated outstanding academic achievement. A kind-hearted professional who makes others feel comfortable in expressing their opinions and viewpoints. Actively seeks out additional resources and techniques to increase knowledge and retention of information.

who provides the companionship to refocus and regroup. Her goal is to pursue her BSN , MSN and eventually her DNP, with a focus in adolescent reproductive health. She likes the small class size and personality of Sumner—everyone knows your name! Radiates warmth and caring! I would feel at ease with her skills if she was my medical assistant. Excellent attitude, participation during discussions, and time management. Catherine works hard at being a great student. A thoughtful individual who contributes to a strong team-centered environment! Catherine G, MA October
