Getting to Know You in 21 QUESTIONS Favorite color? Royal Blue and Orange. Favorite song? Impossible to answer but lately my favorite song is “Tougher Than The Rest” by Bruce Springsteen. Favorite food I’ve cooked? Steak and scallops on the grill for Mothers Day. Favorite food from childhood? My mom’s tacos. Favorite drink on a hot summer night? Dogfish SeaQuench Ale, ice cold, while sitting on the back porch with my wife. Favorite drink on a cold winter night? Knob Creek Small Batch 100 Proof, neat... Anywhere! Favorite conversation I’ve ever had with a person? My grandfather (my mom’s father). He was a very stoic German man who left home at 14 when his parents sent him out of Berlin when the Nazi’s invaded. He never saw his parents again. He went on to join the Royal Air Force, after he lied about his age, and fought in WWII.

He survived a lot in his life and never dwelled on the past. He was the strongest man I’ve ever met, mentally and physically. He’s my hero. Favorite movie of all time? Another impossible question to answer, but today my answer is “Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.” Favorite book of all time? “On The Road” by Jack Kerouac. A classic guy’s book. Favorite ice cream ever, and from where? Breyer’s Coffee Ice Cream. Teacher who changed my life, and why? My high school science teacher, Mr. Beuhler. He was passionate and taught me that I could have fun and advance my education at the same time. Perfect day out: what, where, with whom? Watching my kids play travel baseball with my wife over the last few years. The best paid entertainment I’ve ever seen? “Les Miserables” on Broadway. Favorite hobby activity that makes me get lost for hours? Playing baseball on my current team or at Mets Fantasy Camp.
