working to break down barriers to mental health care and provide support to those who need it. The medical tech app helps patients with incurable conditions find answers the medical world can’t provide. “We take a two- pronged approach to solving the emotional side of diagnosis and alleviating the uncertainty by building a caring community and identifying a better understanding of the needs of the users by crowdsourcing information by using big data,” Elizabeth said. She believes in the power of social networks that could help patients find what works for each health condition. Elizabeth said, “Our app does more than just bring people together—it helps patients get information about their conditions from others who have been in similar situations.” Healp introduces “Meet Your Chronic Illness Bestie.” Healp’s strong community bonds support all walks of life. “Chronic illness can be isolating, but having friends who understand what you’re going through makes all the difference,” Spencer, a Healp user who shared his testimonial on the Healp website.
