(sonnet-haiku hybrid)

Life is eternal— spring riot of color, sound after bleak winter;
Life is persistent— bloom blooms between sidewalk cracks against all the odds;
Life is enduring— after human destruction earth reclaims ruins;
Life is relentless— grass grows back too fast, unasked on freshly dug grave; Despite all of its resilience, though, Life remains as fragile as love laid low.
